Day 60 in Melbourne, Australia

I have finally purchased my Nintendo DS Lite (Black) last Friday. I went to 3 stores before getting the black edition. All other stores only have the White (buttons turning yellowish) or Pink (too girlish). I bought it from JB Hi-Fi for AUD$188.00 (RM526.40). Added another $6 for another DS game, namely Star Wars Lethal Alliance. EB Games was selling cheaper at AUD$187.00 but no black edition. The salesperson from JB Hi-Fi (Jeff) was very friendly and recommended me a crystal case with 2 additonal stylus for AUD$8.99. The black edition is definitely a finger print magnet with it's glossy surface. Luckily with the crystal case, I could protect it well enough. I been using it while travelling on trains in Melbourne. Next on my list would be to get the flash-cart to play NDS ROM games. I am going to choose either the R4DS or the DS-Extreme. I prefer the DS-Extreme with it's built-in memory (512MB or 2GB) but very difficult to source. The R4DS is selling in Malaysia for RM160.00..

I am still thinking to buy the Nintendo DS Lite from Melbourne. It cost approximately AUD$187.00 (RM523.60) per unit without any games bundled. Been reading forums about the Nintendo DS Lite... what to get, what games are great, playing ahem games, ... The EB Games stores in Melbourne is doing a promotion: Buy 2 DS Games for AUD$50.00 (RM70.00). Thought of buying the "Monopoly, Boggle, Yahtzee, and Battleship" pack with the DS Lite Pack (case, screen protector, charger, stylus,...). This promotion ends this weekend. Another question : Black or White console ??? p.s. Exchange rate AUD$1 = RM2.80

It's been a long loooooong while not updating my poor old blog. Today marks the 54th day I'm in Melbourne for training in the new company I just joined. It is now autumn in Melbourne...with temperature ranging from chilling 12°C to hot 28°C. Unfortunately very little rain falls in Melbourne causing a Stage 3a water restriction at the present. Since I've been here since 1 March, 2 major sporting events has come and gone in Melbourne. 1. Australian Formula One Grand Prix 2. 12th FINA World Championships I attended neither of them. HAHAHAHAHA !!!! Tomorrow is another public holiday for Australia : ANZAC Day ANZAC was the name given to the A ustralian and N ew Z ealand A rmy C orps soldiers who landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey early on the morning of 25 April 1915 during the First World War (1914-1918). As a result, one day in the year has involved the whole of Australia in solemn ceremonies of remembrance, gratitude and national pride for all our men and women who h
