Xiaomi SU7's >50,000 booking in under 30 minutes

  The much awaited launch of Xiaomi SU7 announced last December 2023, is finally unveiled on 28 March 2024. More than 50,000 booking were done within 30 minutes of release. Prices are as follows:- SU7 : RMB215,900 SU7 Pro : RMB245,900 SU7 Max : RMB299,900 SU7 Fan Edition : RMB339,000 With a starting price of 215,900 yuan (nearly $30,000), Xiaomi positions the SU7 as a strong competitor in the electric car market. In a keynote speech, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confidently claimed the base model of the SU7 outperforms Tesla's Model 3 in 90 percent of the performance parameters. Battery life and smart technology were central themes in Lei's presentation. He promised a minimum range of 700 kilometers for the SU7 and touted it as "the best driving experience under 500,000 yuan." Dell: “Come back to the office – or else”

The tech giant DELL makes a turnaround from its decade-old pro-hybrid working culture by telling employees to return to the office with a strict mandate, warning those who choose to remain fully remote that they will not be considered for promotion nor be able to change roles, including applying to new roles in the company. Those who take the hybrid option have to come in three days a week to an “approved” office. This has led to disgruntled staff who complained about the matter behind closed doors, with a common theme being that Dell’s stated reason for in-person connections will not work for most teams due to the geographical distances between team members.

Bitcoin’s Total Market Capitalization Surpasses $1.4 Trillion

The price of the flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin has recently moved to a new all-time high near $72,000 after surging more than 70% year-to-date, in a rise that helped its total market capitalization surpass that of silver. Apple’s $3,499 Vision Pro will hit stores on February 2

Apple has announced that the Vision Pro headset, which was unveiled in June at WWDC, will be available to preorder on Friday, January 19 before hitting stores on Friday, February 2. The headset costs $3,499 and will be available exclusively in the U.S. through Apple’s online and retail stores. The announcement likely means Apple won’t hold an event to officially launch the device. Food Review: Way Modern Chinois at 1 Utama

Way Modern Chinois recently relocated to their new outlet in 1 Utama Shopping Center on 28 December 2023. Formerly, they were at Damansara Heights. The new outlet is located at Lot 343A Oval, nearer towards the Rainforest Zone. I was attracted to their opening promo which is their Half Truffle Roast Duck for RM8.80++ but the promo finished when I arrived 😖 Molecular Skinless XLB (Xiao Loong Bao) - RM6.00++ My review of their specialty Xiao Loong Bao is very unique without the typical skin i.e. skinless. The soup and meat contain the ginger & vinegar inside. For me, I would rate it as 3/5. Wagyu Porcupine Bun - RM13.00++ per piece This particular dish is so cute that I need to order. It contains black pepper infused Wagyu beef inside. I feel that the black pepper flavor is very overpowering. For me, I would rate it as 3/5. To those who invested in Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) in Malaysia, it is super important to submit (by hand) your Nomination Form to Private Pension Administrator Malaysia (PPA). You may invest in PRS via Versa PRS (using their app) for zero-paper application and deposits. Unfortunately, there is no online platform service for submitting the Nomination Form. All PRS Members are required to meet their respective PRS consultant/ PRS Provider/Bank/PPA in person to submit all relevant documents when making a nomination.
